Do you know someone worthy of a BASC award?

BASC gamekeeper of the year awards

BASC is inviting nominations for its prestigious annual awards, designed to recognise individuals who have made outstanding contributions to shooting and conservation.

  • Honorary Life Membership: Awarded for more than 20 years of outstanding service to BASC and its members.
  • The Prince Philip Distinguished Service Award: For significant national contributions to shooting and conservation.
  • The Payne-Gallwey Long Service Award: Acknowledging more than 20 years of local service as a club officer or event volunteer.
  • The Stanley Duncan Conservation Trophy: Honouring notable contributions to BASC’s conservation efforts within the past three years.
  • The Ian Richardson Trophy: Awarded by BASC staff for a special contribution to the association.
  • The Tim Sedgwick Trophy: For significant impact on BASC’s work in the past year.
  • Special Presentation Award: For exceptional service benefiting BASC, open to BASC members and non-members.
  • BASC Women in Shooting Award: Recognising women who inspire others and demonstrate outstanding commitment to fieldsports.
  • Gamekeeper of the Year Award: Highlighting excellence in conservation, habitat management, and game rearing.

Nominations are open until 28 February 2025. Last year saw some outstanding individuals put forward by their shooting colleagues and friends, and we look forward to receiving many more worthy nominations for 2025.
