BASC will be back at The Stalking Show 2026 as the event’s Official Partner, continuing a relationship that goes right back to the show’s beginnings.
BASC has supported The Stalking Show from day one and will again be closely involved in an event that has become a fixture for the UK’s deer stalking and deer management community.
Working with show creators David and Deanne Freer, we will help shape the feel and focus of the weekend. As the UK’s leading organisation for shooting and conservation, our role reflects the day-to-day work we do to support those who manage deer and the countryside responsibly, within the law and to high standards.
The Stalking Show brings together people who live and breathe deer management. For us, it is a chance to talk directly with those doing the job on the ground, answer questions and share clear advice on best practice, legislation and any other issues you need assistance with.
Following a strong 2025 event, we will have a clear and visible presence again in 2026. BASC will have something for everyone at the show, from seasoned professionals to those just getting started.
We will be running an on-stand survey across the weekend, giving all visitors the chance to win a fantastic thermal optic.Â
Full details of the prize, how to enter and the terms will be available at the BASC stand throughout the show.
Across both days, we will host a series of Main Stage panel discussions looking at some of the big and sometimes challenging issues facing deer management in the UK.
The panels will bring together people from conservation, forestry, firearms licensing and the wider deer sector. The aim is open, evidence-led discussion, with BASC guiding the conversation and keeping it grounded in real-world experience.
Sessions will feature BASC chief executive Ian Bell alongside senior civil servants and industry figures. These are designed to be direct, informative conversations that reflect the realities of deer management today.
The Main Stage will also feature interactive, hands-on demonstrations covering key skills such as carcass extraction, inspection, skinning and butchery. Whether you are new to stalking or looking to brush up on best practice, these sessions offer a chance to learn and ask questions.
BASC is also sponsoring the Really Wild Kitchen at the show, highlighting the link between responsible deer management and good food.
Live demonstrations from game chefs José Souto and Rachel Green will focus on preparing and cooking venison and other game. Their sessions will show how well-sourced wild game can be turned into high-quality food.
Visitors can expect practical, easy-to-follow demonstrations that bring together deer management, conservation and food in a straightforward and engaging way.
The Stalking Show takes place on Saturday 11 April and Sunday 12 April 2026 at Staffordshire County Showground
