What is clay shooting?

Clay shooting is an extremely popular and fast-growing form of shooting as it is easy and relatively cheap to get started.

Most clay shooting is done at shooting grounds where there will be a series of traps which catapult clay targets into the air.

Clay pigeon shooting is open to everyone, whether you live in a town, city or in the countryside or have a limited amount of time to devote to their sport.

It is suitable for all levels of ability, from complete novices through to those who compete both nationally and internationally.

Where do I start?

To get started, the easiest way is to find a local club or clay ground and book a lesson with a qualified shooting instructor.

There are several different clay shooting disciplines you can try, including sporting skeet and trap.

What do I need?

You don’t need to make any big investments until you know clay shooting is the sport for you.
