.410 World Champion 2024 Mike Jones

Mike Jones swept the board at the BASC .410 World Championships over the weekend to take the 2024 title.

The BASC .410 World Championships were held at Fauxdegla International Clay Shooting Centre in Wrexham for the first time and competition entrants faced challenging clays throughout the day.

The weather did not make things any easier, with changing winds hitting the clays from all directions and intermittent rain and sunshine providing an additional  test for competitors.

Mike Jones, who comes from Oswestry, scored an impressive 47 out of 50 and took the overall winner’s award on the day.

The winners of the 2024 classes were:

Overall .410 World Champion: Mike Jones with a score of 47 / 50

Open: Nick Beavis with a score 46 / 50

Women: Hattie Cloves with score 31 / 50

Junior: Thomas Rockall with score 32 / 50

“Thank you to the competitors who travelled the length and breadth of the UK to compete, displaying some excellent shooting on the day. A special thank you to the volunteers who helped BASC run the day, without them these events would not be possible.”
