Cast your vote in the 2026 Eat Game Awards and help decide who will be crowned this year’s Champion of Champions.

The Eat Game Awards recognise the people and businesses helping to promote game as a healthy and sustainable food choice. From chefs to content creators, the awards highlight those who are encouraging more people to cook and eat game.

The Champion of Champions award recognises one individual who has made a strong contribution to raising the profile of game. Previous winners include chef Rachel Green, Joe Mann of Queen’s College, Taunton, and Billy Wyatt, founder of Giving Up the Game.

The 2026 Champion of Champions finalists

Four finalists are now in the running for this year’s title. Each has played a clear role in encouraging more people to use game in their kitchen and to speak confidently about it. 

All our finalists reach different audiences in different ways, but all are helping to keep game firmly on the menu and within easy reach.

Cai Ap Bryn – Game and Flames

Cai Ap Bryn – Game and Flames

Cai Ap Bryn is a shooter, fisherman and chef who has cooked and hunted across Europe. He runs the wood-fired catering company Game and Flames, sourcing and processing his own wild food and game. With his own butchery and larder, he follows a clear field-to-fork approach. Cai was named Best Game Influencer at the 2024 and 2025 Eat Game Awards.

Ross Horrocks – The Caddy Mann

Ross Horrocks – The Caddy Mann

Ross Horrocks has worked at The Caddy Mann in Jedburgh for more than 20 years and is now chef and co-owner in the Scottish Borders. A regular finalist in the Best Restaurant and Best Chef categories, Ross focuses on cooking that makes the most of Scotland’s natural larder, including game.

Hugo Campbell Hill – The Game Glutton

Hugo Campbell Hill – The Game Glutton

Former game farmer Hugo Campbell Hill founded The Game Glutton to make wild meat more accessible. Through butchery demonstrations and recipes, he encourages people to try cooking with game. The business also provides elevenses packs for shoots, as well as private dining and event catering using game meat.

Mark Kempson – Kitchen W8

Mark Kempson – Kitchen W8

Mark Kempson, head chef at Kitchen W8 in Kensington, has held a Michelin star since 2011. A two-time winner of Game Chef of the Year, he is known for combining classic French technique with seasonal British ingredients, including game.

Cast your vote

Voting closes at midnight on 28 February 2026. The winner will be announced at the 2026 Eat Game Awards on 19 March at Soane Hall, Marylebone.

The Champion of Champions is just one of several categories at the 2026 Eat Game Awards. Finalists have been announced across seven more categories recognising chefs, restaurants, content creators, educators and food businesses that are helping to promote game in different ways.
