Henry Cole, best known for the TV show Shed and Buried is set to appear at this year’s Game Fair.
He has become a popular figure among fans of classic machinery, vintage motorcycles, and rural culture. Through Shed and Buried, he travels across Britain searching barns, garages, and sheds for forgotten mechanical treasures, often restoring or trading them with co-host Sam Lovegrove
Henry’s television series are all rooted in a philosophy of light-touch restoration — getting things going, fixing what’s there, and preserving originality wherever possible rather than simply replacing parts.
Known on television for tracking down, restoring and selling all manner of classic vehicles, Henry and his band of “oily-handed cohorts” are bringing their unmistakable brand of controlled chaos to The Game Fair.
This year, they’ll be setting up shop in their very own ramshackle shed HQ, with spanners flying, engines spluttering back to life and, of course, a kettle that never stops boiling.
Henry will also be appearing on stage in the Carter Jonas Game Fair Theatre every morning of The Game Fair as well as in the BASC Kitchen Theatre sponsored by Global Knives.
A spokesperson for the Game Fair said: “Henry Cole is at The Game Fair because he represents something fundamental to rural life: the ability to fix, adapt and keep going. His approach mirrors the values that have sustained the countryside for generations and continue to define land management today.
“Whether it’s a battered tractor, a rebuilt engine, or a Defender kept alive through skill, the principle is the same – and it’s one The Game Fair is proud to celebrate.”
