The accolade honours the exceptional dedication and contributions of BASC-accredited shotgun coaches who have made a significant impact on the shooting community.
Coaches can be nominated for their excellence in the following areas:
Last year’s winner was Duncan Greaves, who was celebrated for his 34 years of service, during which he has trained and assessed hundreds of shotgun coaches and introduced countless individuals to the sport. He was presented with his award at The Game Fair.
Nominations are open to everyone and can be submitted via our website here. The deadline for submissions is 27 June 2025. Thank you to our sponsors Browning, Eley and Promatic for their support of the award.
Gareth Dockerty, BASC’s executive director of shooting and operations, said: “Our coaches are the backbone of the shooting community, dedicating countless hours to mentoring and developing shooters of all ages. This award is a chance to recognise their unwavering commitment and the positive impact they have on our sport.”
The award is an opportunity to acknowledge the hard work and passion of BASC coaches, who play a vital role in promoting and sustaining shooting sports. We encourage you to nominate deserving individuals who have made a significant impact in the field of shotgun coaching.
