The BASC Breeder Club, launched in partnership with specialist providers Agria Pet Insurance, is free to join and provides five-week insurance cover for puppies.
This year’s Game Fair saw the launch of the new BASC Breeder Club in partnership with Agria Pet Insurance. The club provides a comprehensive support system and valuable resources for working dog breeders. Membership is free to join and allows breeders to activate five-week insurance for puppies, covering up to £4,000 of vet fees when they move to their forever homes.
BASC’s Breeder Club aims to help working dog breeders to enhance their knowledge, share best practice and positively contribute to the development of gundog breeds.
Speaking at The Game Fair, Agria’s partnership manager Mark Walden, said: “We’ve been speaking to lots of people at The Game Fair who have been getting treatments for their dogs at a cost of three or four thousand pounds, which seems to be the norm. It’s a big issue and we estimate that only 25 to 30 per cent of dogs are insured in the UK. The BASC Breeder Club gives essential peace of mind that puppies are covered in case veterinary care is required.
In addition to immediate cover for illness, accidents and injuries, the free five-week cover also provides:
