The National Shooting Show takes place from 10–11 May at the Yorkshire Event Centre in Harrogate – and BASC has a fantastic line-up of experts, advice and hands-on fun for all ages.

Step in, say hi, grab a cuppa
At the BASC main stand in hall 1, you’ll find membership services, firearms advice, gamekeeping support, sustainable ammunition info, and the chance to try our popular VR shooting simulator. Live firearms Q&As will run twice daily. All BASC members can enjoy a free cup of tea, coffee or water on us – a great chance to relax and connect with fellow members.
For deer enthusiasts
The BASC Deer Area is your go-to hub for everything deer-related. Our expert team will be on hand to answer questions and chat stalking, with support from Artemis Deer Stalking, Glade Deer Management and Keith’s High Seats.
Head measuring will be available all weekend, so bring your trophies along, and don’t miss the live demonstrations happening daily – covering roe buck calling, extraction, thermal tech and more.
Advice and support
The Gamekeepers’ Welfare Trust will be offering free health checks in the Deer Area, and BASC’s wildfowling team will be nearby, ready to chat and provide expert guidance on all things ‘fowling.
Hunter gatherer
The BASC Hunters Kitchen is always a popular stop-off for show goers and this year promises to be no different. With top names in game including Lionel Strub, Nick Lister and Simon Whitehead all booked to give demos across the two days, make sure you add this one to your list of things to do while you’re there.
Lots of fun for the next generation
At the BASC Kids Conservation Area, children can build bird boxes, take part in a scavenger hunt (with a free goodie bag) and join our popular pigeon plucking demo – learning how to pluck, prep and cook pigeon skewers.
All children’s activities are free and run throughout the weekend.
Try the BASC Clay Line
Whether you’re completely new to shooting or looking to refine your skills, head over to the BASC Clay Line for expert tuition from our team of top-notch shotgun coaches. They will be at the show all weekend providing shooting lessons to all comers, from complete beginners to experienced shots looking for technical pointers.
