Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal became Patron of BASC in October 2022, succeeding her father HRH Prince Philip The Duke of Edinburgh in the role, following his death in April 2021.
In July 2023, The Princess Royal visited the association’s headquarters at Marford Mill near Wrexham to officially launch the BASC Wildlife Fund, which provides grants for conservation projects and loans for land purchase linked to sustainable shooting. The visit also saw Her Royal Highness meet BASC Council members and speak with our team of staff about their roles and work at BASC.
