Any current BASC member with a minimum of 12 months membership history prior to placing the first order is eligible. This is because the car companies insist that the discount scheme is restricted to genuine members and not those joining BASC simply to get a discount.
Members MUST retain their vehicle for a minimum of 12 months from date of vehicle registration. A member found to be breaching these terms and conditions may be subject to rule 3, (h) of the association’s constitution. The BASC Council may take such disciplinary action as it considers in accordance with the members disciplinary procedures.
Not always. We must follow the rules provided by each manufacture and these can vary. Please visit the webpage for each car manufacture (see above) to find out how to access the deals, or if you have any queries, simply give us a call. We have tried to ensure the widest possible dealer coverage and are confident that all members, wherever they live in the UK, can access the schemes.
To prevent trading, members are restricted to one vehicle per year regardless of vehicle manufacturer. However, this could be waived if BASC and the vehicle manufacture are satisfied that any extra vehicle is for the member’s personal use, business or family use. BASC will seek authorisation on individual cases and reserves the right not to authorise the request. Should you have any questions then please do no hesitate to contact us.
Yes if you are the owner, partner in or director of your company.
No, the vehicle discount scheme applies to new vehicles only. Used vehicles are owned by the dealers and not subject to manufacturer support.
Our schemes are based on fleet level discounts. Before we add new makes or models, we aim to ensure that our terms are significantly better than the maximum retail discounts available to the car dealers. A bonus is that these terms are fixed in advance so there is no need to negotiate.
No you do not pay BASC for your vehicle. All payments are made to the participating dealers. BASC’s role in all cases is simply to verify that the individual member is eligible to access the scheme. Should you wish to part exchange an old vehicle or access finance then this is to be discussed with the participating dealership during the quotation. BASC is not a licensed credit broker and cannot advise on finance schemes.
