High standards and best practice
BASC aims to promote and protect shooting activities by establishing and maintaining high standards through education, training and best practice.
We are absolutely opposed to compulsory testing as a condition of firearm or shotgun ownership. However, people who are new to the sport must accept that the onus is on them to develop the knowledge and skill to use a shotgun or firearm safely.
We offer a range of courses to help you demonstrate you have the knowledge and know-how to use firearms or shotguns confidently and safely, in a field-based situation.
