Whatever your area of shooting or conservation expertise, or length of membership, BASC is looking for motivated and capable people to join its governing Council. Nominations now are open for two country seats, one for England and one for Wales, in the 2026 BASC Council elections.
Council members help steer the association’s direction and hold it to account. They should be ready to develop and own BASC’s strategy, ensure resources and policies align with that strategy, exercise clear challenge and judgement, make impactful decisions, and demonstrate integrity and teamwork.
Serving on Council offers the chance to make a lasting difference by influencing how BASC supports its members and represents their interests, as well as those of the wider shooting sector.
Nominations must be made formally in writing and submitted to by Wednesday 31 December 2025. Each nomination must be signed by the candidate, a proposer and a seconder, all of whom must be members of the association and entitled to vote.
