Join BASC Scotland at the Moy Country Fair on 7-8 August for the ever-popular Junior Macnab Challenge, plus a members’ reception on our stand on Friday afternoon.
Held at Moy Estate, the show offers two days of field sports, competitions and family entertainment in the heart of the Highlands.
With have-a-go activities and displays running throughout the fair, it promises two lively days for seasoned enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
Visitors can enjoy main ring displays, country pursuits and gundog events, alongside angling, live music and Scottish food and drink.
With complimentary entry for under-15s, Moy is a great family day out. Young visitors can also put their sporting skills to the test in BASC’s popular Junior Macnab Challenge.
A simulated take on the original Macnab format, the initiative includes fly fishing, air rifle and clay target shooting. BASC coaches will be on hand throughout supervise all activities, as well as offering guidance and encouragement.
A firm favourite at Moy, the Junior Macnab offers young people an enjoyable introduction to the skills involved in one of Scotland’s best-known sporting traditions.
Dogs are welcome at Moy Country Fair but must be kept on a lead. Water stations will be available across the site.
If you’re a BASC member, you are warmly invited to join the Scotland team for drinks at the annual members’ reception on Friday 7 August.
The reception will take place on the ringside BASC stand from 2pm to 3.30pm. Come along to meet the team, catch up with fellow members and enjoy a drink while taking in the atmosphere of the fair.
Our team will also be on our stand throughout event to provide specialist advice and answer questions on a range of subjects.
Across the fair, visitors can also watch the action in the main ring, see working gundogs put through their paces or try a range of country sports for themselves.
Whether you are visiting for the country sports or enjoying a family day out, make time to stop by the BASC stand and say hello. We look forward to seeing you at Moy.
