The finalists for this year’s Eat Game Awards have been announced after a record number of votes were received across the eight categories.
This year’s awards attracted many first-time nominees, with many of the finalists also appearing for the first time.
The top three in each category will now go through to the final stage of the competition. There, a panel of judges will make the final decision based on strict criteria ahead of the awards ceremony on 14 March.

Annette Woolcock, head of wild food at BASC, said: “The response to this year’s awards has been huge. As well as more individuals and businesses nominated than ever before, we have now seen even more public votes, which is fantastic to see.
“It is so important to keep spreading the message, and introduce family and friends cooking and eating game. We now can’t wait to celebrate all of those currently educating, inspiring and celebrating all that is great about game!”
You can join us at this year’s awards, which are taking place on the Dixie Queen, which will travel down the Thames during the evening.
