BASC’s Legacy Funded Scholarship aims to support and encourage students wishing to develop their knowledge in conservation, land management or gamekeeping.
It provides financial assistance to applicants where a lack of funding could obstruct education and future career paths.
The programme is open to UK citizens, who are either currently a BASC member, or have immediate family who are and while there is no minimum award, the maximum award to an individual is £4,500 per year.

The Peppering Biodiversity Project is a success story for nature recovery being delivered at
a large scale on an arable farm in West Sussex.

Game cover crops significantly boost farmland biodiversity by providing shelter, breeding habitats, and food sources for a variety of wildlife including gamebirds, songbirds, small mammals and insects.

Jim and Catherine Allsop are committed to nature recovery at the Monk Wood Shoot near Chesterfield – a small DIY game shoot that has maximised its conservation potential.
