BASC will be at the Royal Welsh Show 2017, promoting shooting and conservation.

The festival will be held at the Royal Welsh Showground, Llanelwedd, Builth Wells, Powys, on 24th – 27th July.

Derek Williams from BASC Wales said: “The Royal Welsh gives us a chance to showcase the work that we do in Wales and highlight the value of shooting. At least 76,000 people in Wales shoot and shooting influences the management of around 380,000 hectares of land. We are looking forward to meeting our members and having the opportunity to welcome visitors.”

Visitors will have a chance to try shooting using BASC’s state-of-the-art Shooting Simulator with BASC-accredited shotgun coaches.

The BASC stand will feature displays from the association’s Game and Deer Management and Conservation teams. There will be demonstrations of BASC’s Green Shoots mapping and recording website and mink and grey squirrel trapping.

BASC staff will be on hand throughout the event to discuss membership benefits and answer shooting related queries.

There will be Taste of Game cookery demonstrations on the BASC stand for the first time at the show. Representatives of BASC Ladies Shooting will also be on the stand.
