A range of BASC experts will be on hand to answer your question during this year’s Royal Welsh Show in Builth Wells, which runs from 20-23 July 2026.

Meet the team

Visitors to the BASC’s stand at this year’s Royal Welsh Show will have the opportunity to meet BASC specialists covering a wide range of areas of expertise, including firearms, training courses, member offers and discounts and membership services. Our teams will be on hand throughout the show to provide advice, answer your questions and discuss the issues that matter most to you.

General licences will be a key point of discussion this year, with our team on available to discuss any questions you have on their use and implementation.

Food and activities

A members’ drinks reception will take place from 4pm to 5pm each day from Monday to Wednesday, providing another opportunity to meet members of our team as well as fellow BASC members, in an informal setting.

Game meat canapés will be served on our stand daily at 11am and 2pm, allowing you to try some fantastic combinations of locally sourced wild game.

If you fancy getting your eye in, come along to the BASC airgun range, sponsored by BSA. Under the guidance of BASC instructors, you can shoot either a ten or 20-shot session.

Available at the show this year will be our BASC’s Safe Shot theory challenge for anyone looking to test their shooting knowledge. You can also have your eye dominance checked by a BASC-accredited shotgun coach as part of our offering.

Partner organisations

Representatives from Agria Pet Insurance and Skinner’s will be on hand throughout the event, while members of the Dyfed-Powys Police firearms licensing team will also be present on our stand.

BASC Wales director Steve Griffiths said: “We look forward to meeting members and non-members at our premier event of the year in Wales. The Royal Welsh Show provides a fantastic opportunity to engage directly with the people we represent and to showcase the breadth of work undertaken by BASC.

“I encourage everyone to visit the stand, meet the team and speak with representatives from our different departments. There will be plenty to see and do throughout the week, and we look forward to welcoming you.”

The Royal Welsh Show also provides an opportunity for BASC Wales to meet politicians, key stakeholders and Natural Resources Wales, ensuring the interests of sustainable shooting and practical conservation continue to be represented at the highest level.
