Airgun instructor
The airgun instructor award will improve the training and standards within the sport to help protect and promote airgun shooting for future generations.
The aim of this course is to equip the candidate with the knowledge, understanding, and awareness of a basic airgun instructor.Â
The course comprises a one-day training course for people who already have experience in handling airguns and some experience helping, assisting or instructing others along with some understanding of knowledge in this area.Â
The course is not designed for novices.

Cost
- BASC members: £110Â
- Non-members: £145Â
Course requirements
- To undertake this award you will be expected to have a good knowledge of a variety of airguns, the different types of operating systems and experience in their use.
- You must be aged 21 years or over to register.
Should there be insufficient bookings, BASC reserves the right to cancel the course. In the interests of fairness, BASC will aim to provide candidates with notification of cancellation as soon as possible prior to the advertised start date.
We strongly recommend that fees for any accommodation you book are refundable as BASC will not be responsible for any losses incurred by candidates.
If for any reason you cancel your place on the course then the following scale of charges may apply:

Shotgun safety officers course

Sporting rifle course – small game and lampingÂ
This course includes detailed theory of rifle shooting in the area and discipline involved, followed by time spent in the field simulating lamping situations.
