Consents on SSSI and other designated sites

For over 20 years, BASC’s Wildfowling Team have worked with affiliated clubs to negotiate consents for wildfowling on Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and other designated sites in England, Northern Ireland and Wales.

In 2017, the Team helped 15 affiliated wildfowling clubs in England and Wales secure consents for shooting over foreshore and inland marsh covering a total area in excess of 31,000 acres.

Natural England have adopted a detailed approach when determining wildfowling consents.
