The course aims to guide students who have a dog and wish to use it for stalking or are thinking of training their first deer dog. It is designed for beginners who are new to this area of stalking and is a must for anyone wishing to gain knowledge in dogs for deer work.
Students will undertake theory lessons which include health and safety, law, different breeds, equipment, dog training, tracking techniques and basic tracking theory.
This course is classroom based with places allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Should there be insufficient bookings, BASC reserve the right to cancel the course. In the interest of fairness, BASC will aim to notify candidates of a cancellation as soon as possible. Candidates will be offered the option to transfer to another course if available.
We strongly recommend that you book refundable accommodation as BASC will not be responsible for any loss incurred by candidates.
If for any reason you cancel your place on the course, then the following scale of charges may apply:
