A huge supporter of BASC, Mike Anthony, sadly passed away at the end of May. Mike was the serving President of the Bridgwater Bay Wildfowlers Association and had only recently retired from many years as a BASC shotgun coach. Mike had been ill for a short time and died in hospital with his friends and family present. Mike was 69 years old.

"A sweet and gentle man" whom members found "charming, friendly, understanding and delightful" and whose lessons "were masterfully delivered". Many of you will know him from the Young Shots events in the south west region where for many years he helped and encouraged Young Shots to improve their shooting skills.

He was well qualified to help others having had the honor of being selected to shoot for his home country of Wales. He also attended numerous shows working on the coaching line and providing gun fit and eye dominance advice on the BASC stand.

He will be very sadly missed by all at the south west office.
