Join BASC and the Bridgwater Bay Wildfowlers Association for a day of big bore guns, big bangs and lots of smoke at the National Big Bore and Black Powder clay shoot. With classes designed to suit everyone, join us for a day’s clay shooting like no other.
Not only is this a great opportunity to dust off those old wildfowling guns prior to the start of the season, there will also be a standard 50-bird wildfowling-themed sporting layout for those that don’t own a big bore or a black powder gun.
The day will kick off at 10am for the 50-bird sporting.
Cost: £18 per entry with re-entry at £15.
The big bore competition will kick off at 11am.
Cost: £9 per round and £7 re-entry.
Classes and prizes on the day are:
- 50-bird wildfowling-themed sporting – 1st £150 / 2nd £75 / 3rd £50
- Small black powder class (10b and smaller) – 1st £50 / 2nd £25 / 3rd £15
- Large black powder class (8b and bigger) – 1st £50 / 2nd £25 / 3rd £15
- Nitro big bore class (10b and bigger) – 1st £50 / 2nd £25 / 3rd £15
There will be a limited opportunity to Have a Go with a big black powder 8-bore shotgun, and to use a pattern plate to check the suitability of your fowling loads prior to the start of the season.
Add to this a three-man duck flush and you have a proper action-packed day!
Proceeds from the day will be split to support BASC’s South West Young Shots and Bridgwater Bay Wildfowlers land purchase fund.
No booking is necessary – just turn up on the day.
