BASC – Countryman Fairs Clay Competition 2018

After a successful launch in 2017, BASC is delighted to be working again with Countryman Fairs to run a 60-bird sporting clay shooting competition at all Countryman Fairs events in 2018, with the Grand Final being held on the Sunday of the Midland Game Fair in September.

The Clay Shooting Line at all of the Countryman Fairs events continues to be as popular as ever, headed up by BASC coaches and offering lots of exciting, ground-breaking features in all of the Clay Shooting activities. There are fantastic prizes on offer, and a superb format for every shooter, from the complete novice to the more experienced.

*Please note, only fibre wad cartridges can be used.

Competitions Available

PRO COMPETITION

A 60-bird Open Sporting, the Professional competition will be open to anyone who is CPSA Class A or AA in CPSA Classification – Issue 51, plus it will be open to anyone who wishes to enter, whatever their class, but they must specify PRO COMP when entering. NB: You cannot use the same score card to enter PRO and CLUB Competitions.

Prize Money per Day Per Show

  • Overall High Gun – £250
  • Runner-up – £150
  • 3rd – £100
  • 4th – £75
  • 5th – £50

 

PRO COMP Grand Final

At the PRO COMP Grand Final, which will take place on the Sunday of the Midland Game Fair, there will be two 25-target Sportap layouts. Total score out of 50 targets. Top five scores will go in to a super-final. Scores will be from scratch.

  • Champion – £3,000
  • Runner Up – £2,000
  • 3rd – £1,000
  • 4th – £500
  • 5th – £250

 

CLUB COMPETITION

A 60-bird Open Sporting, open to anyone who is CPSA Class B or Below or an Unclassified Shooter in CPSA Classification – Issue 51.

Anyone who wishes to enter this Competition must specify when entering.  You cannot use the same card to enter PRO and CLUB Competitions.

Prizes at each qualifying event

  • Overall High Gun – £100
  • Runner-up – 500 cartridges supplied by Eley Hawk
  • 3rd – 250 cartridges supplied by Eley Hawk and a welly boot bag
  • 4th – 250 cartridges supplied by Eley Hawk
  • 5th – 125 cartridges supplied by Eley Hawk

 

CLUB COMPETITION Grand Final

A the CLUB competition Grand Final, which will be held on the Sunday of the Midland Game Fair, there will be two 25-target Sportap layouts. Total score out of 50 targets. Top five scores will go in to a super-final.  Scores will be from scratch.

  • Champion – Champion Trophy + Browning B525
  • Runner Up – Runner-up Trophy + £250
  • 3rd – Trophy, £100 and 250 cartridges supplied by Eley Hawk
  • 4th – Trophy + 250 cartridges supplied by Eley Hawk
  • 5th – Trophy + 125 cartridges supplied by Eley Hawk

 

LADIES COMPETITION

60-bird Open Sporting – Six Stands (Midland Ten Stands)

Eligible Shooters

Open to all CPSA Lettered Classes and Unclassified Shooters.

When you enter the PRO or CLUB COMP you can also be entered in to the Ladies event if eligible.

The winner on each qualifying day will receive a BASC Ladies Shooting Sterling Silver Cartridge Necklace.

Grand Final

  • Champion – Champion Trophy + £100
  • Runner-up – Runner-up Trophy + 250 cartridges supplied by Eley Hawk
  • 3rd – Trophy + 125 cartridges supplied by Eley Hawk

 

JUNIOR COMPETITION

60-Bird Open Sporting – Six Stands (Midland Ten Stands).

Eligible Shooters

The definition of a Junior is a person under the age of 21 prior to the 18 September 2017

Open to all CPSA Lettered Classes and Unclassified Shooters.

When you enter the PRO or CLUB COMP you can also be entered in to the Junior event if eligible.

The winner of each qualifying day will be awarded with a copy of the BASC Handbook of Shooting.

Junior Grand Final

  • Champion – Trophy + £100
  • Runner-up – Runner-up Trophy + 250 cartridges supplied by Eley Hawk
  • 3rd – Trophy + 125 cartridges supplied by Eley Hawk

 

VETERAN COMPETITION

60-bird Open Sporting – Six Stands (Midland Ten Stands).

Eligible Shooters.

The definition of a Veteran is a person who is over 60 years of age prior to the 18 September 2018.

Open to all CPSA Lettered Classes and Unclassified Shooters.

When you enter the PRO or CLUB COMP you can also be entered in to the Veteran event if eligible.

The winner on each qualifying day will be awarded with a BASC Multi-Tool.

Veteran Grand Final

  • Champion – Champion Trophy + £100
  • Runner-up – Runner-up Trophy + 250 cartridges supplied by Eley Hawk
  • 3rd – Trophy + 125 cartridges supplied by Eley Hawk

Plus the shooter from each class except for the Pro Class will go into a competition for the Airm Risk Services trophy – this trophy will be awarded to the shooter with the highest aggregate score from the qualifying rounds and the Grand Final.

Qualifying rounds will be held at:

  • Kelmarsh – 1-2 April
  • Highclere Country show – 27-28 May
  • Lowther Show – 11-12 August
  • Midland Game Fair – 15 September

Grand Final
