British Shooting, the umbrella body for competitive target shooting, is seeking a non-executive director.
You are looking to join us at an exciting time for target shooting, following our success at the London 2012 Olympic Games and the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow 2014.
We have launched a strategy for 2013 – 2020 Strategy, within this we have identified several flagship programmes that will be delivered through our Whole Sport Plan (funded by Sport England) and our Rio 2016 Plan (funded by UK Sport).
The current members of the Board of British Shooting offer a wide range of skills and experiences and we are looking for a set of skills in these appointments in order to complement these and maintain the overall balance of the Board.
We are looking for a Non-Executive Director with strong commercial experience to help British Shooting generate more income to reinvest into the growth and development of the sport.
We are also recruiting for a further Non-Executive Director with significant knowledge and experience of high performance sport.
Both roles require a time commitment of on average 1 day per month. Most meetings are held in Bisham Abbey or Bisley but national and international travel may be required. These roles are not remunerated but expenses are payable.
