Contribution to conservation

Dormouse by Delyth ClemettBASC Wales is seeking your support in identifying the diversity of conservation work undertaken by shoots in Wales.

We know from The Value of Shooting report of 2014 that in Wales shooting spends around £7.4 million on conservation and about 120,000 conservation work days influencing approximately 380,000 hectares.

We have a number of conservation projects in Wales as a result of our Green Shoots programme but in order to get a fuller picture to present to the Cross Party Group for Shooting and Conservation we need your help to identify the kind of conservation projects you have been or are currently involved in.

With the Welsh Assembly elections only six months away your examples will also be a very useful way of raising awareness amongst candidates of the important contribution made by shooters to the environment and biodiversity.
