BASC’s Council has unanimously voted to give support to the three new game fairs which have been launched following the decision not to hold the CLA Game Fair in 2016.
The three events are:
• “The Field and Country Fair”, which will be held from June 10th to the 12th at the Cornbury Estate, Oxfordshire.
• “The UK Game Fair”, which will be held from July 22nd to the 24th at Stoneleigh, Warwickshire.
• “The Game Fair”, which will be held at Ragley Hall from July 29th to the 31st.
BASC will also be attending the “Countryfile Live” show at Blenheim from the 4th to the 7th August.
Alan Jarrett, Chairman of BASC, said: “Last year, BASC attended over 60 game fairs and shows across the UK, underlining the Association’s support for shooting sports, the gun trade and rural businesses as well as providing opportunity to meet our members, the public and decision makers face to face.”
Steve Bloomfield, Director of BASC England, said: “BASC recognises the important role game fairs play in the rural economy and the opportunity for people from all walks of life to interact and learn about the countryside and country sports. We are delighted to support these new events and will announce full details of our involvement as it is confirmed.”
