Browning, Eley, Coaching, SponsorshipA Young Shots’ Progression Day, organised by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC), will be held at Thorpe Rifle Range in the Peak District near Derbyshire on 20th October 2013.

The event will give Young Shots who already have some experience and interest in shooting or deer stalking the opportunity to expand their knowledge by learning about the operation of a rifle range, the principles of deer management, hunting rifles and ammunition as well as firearms law and licensing.

Participants will also receive one-to-one tuition on the firing range with BASC-accredited coaches and will be actively involved in preparing the range for safe use.  All equipment will be provided.

The day will cost £20 and is only open to BASC members. All participants must over 13 years and 3 months to comply with range rules. Places are limited so advance booking is essential. For further information and to book places please contact: Liz Lamb on 01335 324 507.

Young Shots who wish to join BASC can do so for £22 a year. Young Shot membership provides the same benefits as adult membership.
