BASC's Shot Travel Database
The information that we have is from a highly reputable institute (Cranfield University) and is regarded as the best available – but it is still estimated shot travel and to be used as a guide only for the distances shot may travel under the most important but not all the factors which affect it. Note that the information on travel distances is just that – it does not directly address questions of possible injury to people/animals or damage to property caused by pellets travelling those distances. All pellets are assumed to have a starting velocity of 400m/s.
